Full Moon Flow

On this evening of the full moon, we will gather together to undergo a sacred practice to allow our body and mind to be soothed in order to cultivate a deep inner awareness. Through a moon-based flowing practice and with the power of mantra and meditation, we will create a moving prayer to honor the majesty of the lunar energy within us and around us.
The Secrets of Yoga: The Vedic Moon

Malas, Mantras and Meditation

This workshop is designed for those students interested in starting a chanting or meditation practice. We will begin by teaming up with Amanda Kane from Vintage Faerie to make our own mala. Then we will discover the profound practice of mantra, which pairs perfectly with a mala to make meditation more accessible. Our final group meditation will bring everything together so that you will see that there are more ways to do yoga than just a physical practice, and you will leave inspired to incorporate it into your daily life.

Yoga Secrets 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training

The Yoga Secrets 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training is a transformational process in which we dive deeply into the practices of yoga to discover our dharma. The fundamentals of yoga are introduced, including asana, pranayama, Ayurveda, meditation, mantra, basic Sanskrit, physical and subtle anatomy, as well as a study of the Yoga Sutra.
Yoga Secrets 300 hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training
August 4, 2017-December 2, 2018.
The Yoga Secrets 300 hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training is a dual certification program that is designed to honor the ancient practices of yoga and Ayurveda and provide a platform for yoga teachers with a 200 hour certification to deepen their own personal practice and expand their teachings.
Our training will be in two parts. The first part will be taught by Mary Honchock and Kathryn Templeton of the Himalayan Institute. It consists of 120 hours of study over four modules: three weekends at Yoga Secrets and one online module in the comfort of your own home. Completion of this portion will certify you as an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist through the Himalayan Institute.
The second portion is an in-depth study of the Greater Traditions of Yoga and will be taught by Lexa Chernin, Elizabeth Gehrt and Mary Honchock, co-owners of Yoga Secrets. It consists of 190 hours of classroom time spread out over ten weekends, all at Yoga Secrets. As lineage teachers, our hope is to instill a deep respect for the traditional paths of yoga as they were originally taught. Through study of sacred scripture such as the Yoga Sutra, Bhakti Sutra, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Bhagavad Gita and others, as well as a thorough examination of the classic branches of yoga, students are sure to come away from this program illuminated and inspired.
